Privacy Policy
Summary
- There is no account and no ads. The App does not use advertising identifiers, and we never sell personal data or share it for advertising.
- Your music, playlists, play history, statistics, recordings and edits are processed and stored on your device. Your audio files are never uploaded to us.
- Usage analytics (Google Firebase) and crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics) are both off until you turn them on, and you can turn them off again at any time in Settings › Privacy. The App removes song titles, file names and paths from the errors its own code reports.
- Online lyrics come from LRCLIB, an independent service. When a song has no lyrics of its own, the App looks them up there and sends the song details; you can turn this off during setup or in Settings › Lyrics. When you search for lyrics yourself, your search text is sent to LRCLIB.
- Google Play and the Apple App Store handle subscriptions and payments. We never see your payment details. On Android, Google Play's billing library also sends Google its own diagnostic data, which the App's privacy switches don't control (section 6).
- If you email us, we use your message only to reply to you.
1. Who we are
Music Lab Plus (the "App") is developed by Chamela Aluthgedara (ChamelaLaboratory, "we", "us", "our"), based in Sri Lanka. The App is published on Google Play and, when available, on the Apple App Store. We are responsible for the personal data described in this policy and act as its data controller.
This policy applies to Music Lab Plus version 8.0 and later. Earlier versions (7.x and older) showed ads and used other third-party services, such as AdMob, AppLovin and Last.fm, under a previous policy. If you still use one of those versions, please update the App.
Contact: apps.support@ailivex.com.
2. Scope
This policy covers the App and this web page. Services run by others, such as Google Play, the App Store, Google Firebase, LRCLIB, YouTube, your email provider and the apps you share files with, have their own privacy policies.
This web page is served by Cloudflare, which processes standard connection data, such as your IP address and browser details, to deliver the page and protect the site. The page itself sets no cookies and loads no analytics or tracking scripts.
3. Information that stays on your device
The App works on your device. The following is processed and stored only on your device. It is not sent to us or to anyone else, except as described in sections 5 and 6:
- your music library as your device reports it (titles, artists, albums, genres, durations, artwork and file locations), and the audio and video files, lyric (.lrc) files, playlists (M3U), images and backups you open or import;
- what you create and use in the App: playlists, favourites, star ratings, saved queues, bookmarks, audiobook and podcast positions, play history, listening statistics, goals, streaks, achievements and Recap, Daily Mixes and song radio, saved lyrics, recent searches (you can turn these off), Studio projects, drafts, recordings and exports;
- your settings, themes and layout choices;
- your Premium status: the App keeps a copy of what the store confirmed in the system's secure storage (Android Keystore or iOS Keychain), protected against changes, so Premium also works offline.
Playback, the equalizer and sound effects, visualizers, Studio editing, conversion and compression, Space Render, recommendations such as Daily Mixes, song radio and On this day, feature tips and reminders all run on your device.
The App reads the name of the connected audio output, for example your headphones or car, to show where music plays and to resume playback when it reconnects. If you turn on Sleep timer › Shake to add time (Android), the App uses the motion sensor only during the last minute of a running sleep timer. Neither is recorded or sent anywhere.
While music plays, the song's title, artist and artwork appear in your device's media controls, for example on the lock screen, in notifications, in home-screen widgets, on connected Bluetooth devices and in Android Auto.
Backups. A backup you make in Settings › Backup & restore is a file that goes only where you save or share it. You can protect it with a password: it is then encrypted on your device with AES-256-GCM, using a key derived from your password. We never receive your password and cannot recover a backup whose password is lost. Separately, on Android, only the App's settings (not your library data) can be included in your Google device backup and device-to-device transfer. On iOS, the App's data may be included in your iCloud or computer backups, depending on your device settings. Those backups belong to you, under your Google or Apple account, and we cannot access them.
Share cards. Share cards (for example streaks, Recap and Studio results) are images made on your device. They go only where you share or save them. By default they show the App's name and a store link; the link names only the kind of card, so the store can count installs from shared cards, and never identifies you or your device. You can remove the App's name in Settings › Privacy › Show app name on share cards. Your own audio and video exports are never marked.
Files you save outside the App or share with other apps are under your control.
4. Information we collect
The only personal data we receive directly is what you send us when you contact us, for example with Feedback in the App's menu or in Settings › About, which opens your email app.
- What we receive: your email address, your name if your email shows it, and the content of your message, including any attachments you add.
- What we use it for: replying to you, solving the problem you report and improving the App.
- How long we keep it: up to 24 months after the conversation ends. We keep it longer only if the law requires it, and we delete it sooner if you ask.
Usage analytics and crash reports, described in section 5, are processed by Google Firebase for us. They are not linked to your name, email address or any account.
5. Analytics and crash reports (Google Firebase)
Usage analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase). Off until you turn it on: its switch starts off on the privacy page during setup, and you can change it at any time in Settings › Privacy › Usage analytics. While it is on, the App sends Google:
- which features and screens you use, as coarse events (for example that a Studio tool was opened, the format of an export or that the Premium page was viewed);
- purchase history: the product of a purchase and your Premium type (monthly, yearly, one-time or carried over from version 7.x), and Firebase's automatic in-app purchase events, which include the product and its price and currency. Never your payment details;
- an app-instance identifier and standard technical details: device model, operating system, App version, language, and an approximate location (such as country or region) that Google derives from your IP address.
Analytics never includes song titles, artists, file names, paths, lyrics or the content of your files.
Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics). Off until you turn them on: their switch starts off on the privacy page during setup, and you can change it at any time in Settings › Privacy › Crash reports. Before you turn them on, and whenever they are off, the App records and sends no error, and reports that the system kept while they were off are deleted without being sent. While they are on, when the App crashes or meets an error, the report contains:
- for errors in the App's own (Dart) code, the type of error and its message, after the App has removed file names, paths, web addresses, quoted text (such as titles or lyrics) and email addresses;
- for crashes in the device's system code or in the App's native Android or iOS code, the error and its message as the system reports them, which can occasionally include a file name or path;
- the stack trace (locations in the App's code);
- technical details such as device model, operating system, App version and the device's state at the time of the crash (for example free memory and storage), and a Crashlytics installation identifier.
To protect Premium, the App checks on your device whether it was modified or signed by someone else, runs with a debugger or with tools that change apps while they run, was installed from outside an app store, or runs on a rooted or jailbroken device or an emulator. The checks read only technical facts about the App and the device, such as which program libraries are loaded, never your files or anything about you. Only if crash reports are on and a check finds something, a report with short codes only (for example “debugger” or “root”) is sent. The checks never stop playback or the free features. If one finds that the App itself was tampered with, Premium bought in the store waits until the store confirms it again.
No advertising signals. The App removes the advertising ID permission on Android and does not collect the advertising identifier (IDFA) on iOS. Google's Consent Mode settings for ad storage, ad user data and ad personalisation are always set to "denied". The App does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Retention. Google keeps this data under Firebase's retention rules: crash reports are kept for up to 90 days, and analytics events for the period set in our Google Analytics data-retention setting, which Google limits to at most 14 months. Using Settings › Privacy › Delete app data resets the analytics identifier, so earlier data is no longer linked to your installation, and deletes crash reports not yet sent.
See Privacy and Security in Firebase and Google's Privacy Policy.
6. Other information handled by third parties
Online lyrics (LRCLIB). LRCLIB (lrclib.net) is an independent, free, community-run lyrics database that we do not operate. The App contacts it in two cases:
- Automatic lookup, on by default (Find lyrics online, on the privacy page during setup or in Settings › Lyrics, turns it off). After setup, when a song has no lyrics on your device and its lyrics are shown, on the lyrics screen or in Now Playing, the App sends LRCLIB the song's title, artist, album and duration (never for recordings, ringtones, podcasts, audiobooks or clips under 30 seconds);
- A search you start, with Search online on the lyrics screen. As soon as it opens, the App sends the song's artist and title, which fill in its search box; each search after that sends the text in the box (or the song's title and artist if you empty it).
LRCLIB also receives standard connection data, including your IP address and an identification of the App (its name, version and store address). Lyrics found are kept only on your device. LRCLIB's own terms and privacy practices apply, and the service may not always be available.
Google Play and the Apple App Store. The stores handle downloads, payments, subscriptions, refunds, rating prompts and update information. They process your account and payment information as independent controllers, under Google's and Apple's privacy policies. To check your Premium status, the App asks the store which of the App's products your store account owns and receives purchase confirmations, such as the product, a purchase token or transaction ID and the subscription's renewal or expiry status. It checks them on your device and keeps only what it needs to unlock Premium. These confirmations are not sent to us.
Google Play billing diagnostics (Android). On Android, the App uses Google Play's billing library to check, sell and restore purchases. The App connects to Google Play at every start to check your Premium status, also before you make your choices on the privacy page, and from then on the library can send Google its own diagnostic information about how it works, with technical details of your device and of the App. Google handles it under Google's Privacy Policy. The App's Usage analytics and Crash reports switches don't control it. On iPhone and iPad, purchases use StoreKit, which is part of iOS.
App updates. After setup, when the App starts and when you return to it (at most every 30 minutes), it checks whether the store has a newer version and, if it has, asks you to install it. On Android, the App asks Google Play through Google Play's in-app update service, and Google Play shows and installs the update. On iPhone and iPad, the App asks Apple's App Store lookup service (itunes.apple.com) for its current version, sending only the App's identifier and your device's region, with standard connection data such as your IP address; the App Store installs the update. The App never downloads or installs code by itself. Google and Apple handle these requests under their own privacy policies.
Links and sharing. When you open a store page, this web page, a "Watch on YouTube" search for a song, an email or the system share sheet, the app or website you choose takes over, and its own policy applies from that point. A YouTube search contains the song's title and artist.
7. How we use information and our legal bases
Under the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and similar laws, we rely on these legal bases:
- Providing the App, including online lyrics (the automatic lookup, which you can turn off, and the searches you start), and the Premium features you buy: performance of our contract with you.
- Usage analytics: your consent, given with the Usage analytics switch. You can withdraw it at any time with the same switch; this does not affect earlier processing.
- Crash reports, including the codes of the integrity checks: your consent, given with the Crash reports switch. You can withdraw it at any time with the same switch; this does not affect earlier processing.
- The integrity checks themselves, which run only on your device: our legitimate interest in protecting the App and Premium from misuse.
- Update checks: our legitimate interest in keeping the App secure and working on your device.
- Google Play's billing diagnostics on Android: our legitimate interest in purchases and Premium checks that work reliably.
- Answering your messages: our legitimate interest in helping you, or steps you ask us to take.
- Meeting legal obligations: compliance with law.
- Access to music, the microphone, photos, notifications and other device features: only with the permission you grant in your device settings. You can withdraw it at any time.
8. Permissions
- Music and audio, or storage: to find, play and edit the songs on your device (on iOS, access to your Music library). On Android 9 and older, storage access is also used to save edits and exports; on newer versions, the system asks you before the App changes or deletes one of your files.
- Notifications: for playback controls, the sleep timer, progress of Studio jobs and, only if you turn them on, reminders (decided on your device, at most one a day).
- Microphone: only when you record in Studio. Recordings stay on your device.
- Modify system settings (Android): only when you set a sound as your ringtone, notification or alarm sound.
- Photos (iOS): to choose an image as artwork when you edit a song's details, and add-only access to save share cards to your photos.
- Motion sensor (Android, optional): only with Shake to add time, as described in section 3.
- Background work: to keep music playing and long Studio jobs, library scans and backups running while you use other apps, and to set up your reminders again after the device restarts.
- Audio settings and vibration: to apply the equalizer and sound effects, and for haptic feedback.
- Internet and network state: for the store, Firebase and online lyrics services described above.
- Billing: to offer and restore purchases through Google Play or the App Store.
The App does not ask for your location, contacts, camera, phone or SMS.
9. How information is shared
We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not share it for targeted or cross-context behavioural advertising. Information is disclosed only:
- to Google Firebase, which processes analytics and crash reports on our behalf as our service provider, as described in section 5;
- to Google, through Google Play's billing library on Android, which sends its own diagnostics as described in section 6;
- to the email services that host our mailbox, which process support messages on our behalf;
- to LRCLIB, when you use online lyrics, as described in section 6;
- when required by law, or when needed to protect the rights, safety or property of our users, the public or us;
- as part of a sale or transfer of the App. If that happens, we will tell you before your information becomes subject to a different policy.
10. International transfers
Google Firebase, our email services and the other services above may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where data protection law requires it, these transfers are protected by recognised safeguards, such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
11. Security
The App connects only over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. The online lyrics feature talks only to LRCLIB's fixed address and never fetches addresses from your files or from other apps. The App checks store purchase confirmations on your device and keeps your Premium status in the system's secure storage. Password-protected backups are encrypted with AES-256-GCM. Errors that the App's own code reports are cleaned of titles, file names and paths before they leave your device.
No method of transmission over the internet or of electronic storage is 100% secure. We work to protect the information we handle, but we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
12. Children
The App is a general-audience music app. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13, or under the minimum age for consent to online services where they live (up to 16 in some countries). If a child uses the App, a parent or guardian should decide whether to turn on usage analytics or crash reports. Purchases are made by the holder of the store account, and the stores offer parental controls for them. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, email us and we will delete it.
13. How long information is kept
Information on your device stays in the App's storage until you delete it, use Delete app data, clear the App's data or uninstall the App. Support messages are kept as described in section 4. Firebase data is kept as described in section 5.
14. Your rights and choices
You control the information on your device. You can:
- turn usage analytics, crash reports, recent searches and the App's name on share cards on or off in Settings › Privacy, and turn online lyrics off in Settings › Lyrics;
- use Settings › Privacy › Delete app data, which removes your play history, favourites, ratings, bookmarks, playlists, saved lyrics, Studio drafts, search history, equalizer and other settings from this device, resets the analytics identifier and deletes crash reports not yet sent. It keeps your Premium status and your privacy choices, and it never deletes your music files or the audio you exported;
- uninstall the App to erase everything in its storage on your device (files you saved outside the App stay; delete the App's data from your device backups too if you wish).
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to restrict or object to its use, to withdraw consent, and to complain to a data protection authority. These rights come from:
- the EU and UK GDPR;
- California law (CCPA, as amended by the CPRA): the right to know, delete and correct, the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell or share it), and the right not to be discriminated against for using your rights. We do not use sensitive personal information;
- Sri Lanka's Personal Data Protection Act, No. 9 of 2022;
- similar laws elsewhere.
To use them, email us at apps.support@ailivex.com. We will answer within 30 days, or sooner if the law requires. Analytics and crash data are not linked to your name or email address, so we usually cannot look them up for you; the switches and Delete app data above are the way to stop and reset them. For data held by Google, Apple or LRCLIB as independent providers, contact them directly. To cancel a subscription, use your Google Play or App Store account settings.
15. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and we do not sell or share personal data for advertising, so there is nothing to change when your browser or device sends these signals.
16. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we do, we will publish the new version on this page with a new effective date. Where the law requires, we will also give you additional notice or ask for your consent again.
17. Contact
Chamela Aluthgedara, Sri Lanka · apps.support@ailivex.com
Terms of Use
Please read these terms carefully. They are the licence agreement for the App and include the subscription terms (section 11), a hearing-safety notice (section 9), a disclaimer of warranties, a limitation of our liability and rules for resolving disputes (sections 17 to 21).
1. Agreement
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Chamela Aluthgedara (ChamelaLaboratory, "we", "us", "our") about the Music Lab Plus app (the "App"). They are the App's end-user licence agreement. By downloading, installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information; please read it too. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Eligibility
You may use the App if you can form a binding contract where you live. If you are a minor, you may use the App only with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian, who accepts these Terms for you and is responsible for your use of the App and for any purchases. The App is not directed to children under 13.
3. Licence
Subject to these Terms, we give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on devices you own or control, for your own lawful purposes, and under the rules of the store you got it from. We reserve all rights not expressly granted.
4. App store terms
If you got the App from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service also apply. Google is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for the App.
5. Additional terms for the Apple App Store
If you got the App from the Apple App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA") also applies, and it prevails where it conflicts with these Terms for your use on Apple devices. In addition:
- Acknowledgement. These Terms are between you and us only, not Apple. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for the App and its content.
- Scope of licence. Your licence is limited to using the App on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, except that the App may be used by other accounts associated with you through Family Sharing or volume purchasing.
- Maintenance and support. We are solely responsible for any maintenance and support of the App, as described in these Terms or as required by law. Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the App.
- Warranty. To the extent any warranty is not effectively disclaimed, we are solely responsible for it. If the App fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any, that you paid for the App. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses attributable to a failure to conform to a warranty are our responsibility, to the extent they are not disclaimed or limited by these Terms.
- Product claims. We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the App or your possession or use of it, including product liability claims, claims that the App fails to conform to any legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws.
- Intellectual property claims. If a third party claims that the App or your possession and use of it infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of that claim.
- Legal compliance. You represent and warrant that you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Developer contact. Please direct any questions, complaints or claims about the App to Chamela Aluthgedara, Sri Lanka, at apps.support@ailivex.com.
- Third-party terms. You must comply with any applicable third-party terms when using the App, such as your mobile data service agreement.
- Third-party beneficiary. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. Once you accept these Terms, Apple has the right, and is deemed to have accepted the right, to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.
6. Intellectual property and open-source components
The App, including its software, design, text, graphics, sounds and trademarks, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. The App includes open-source software and fonts under their own licences, among them FFmpeg through FFmpegKit (LGPL 3.0), Flutter and many Dart packages (BSD, MIT and Apache 2.0 licences), the Plus Jakarta Sans font (SIL Open Font License) and Material Icons. Those licences govern those components; see Settings › About › Open source licenses in the App. Nothing in these Terms limits the rights an open-source licence gives you, including any right to modify or replace a library under the LGPL and to reverse-engineer the App only as far as needed to debug such changes.
7. Your content and copyright
You keep all rights you have in your music, recordings, lyrics, images and other files, and in what you create with the App ("Your Content"). Your Content is processed on your device. We do not receive it and claim no rights to it.
You are solely responsible for Your Content and for having every right, licence and permission needed to play, edit, cut, convert, compress, merge, remix, record, share or publish it, or to set it as a ringtone. The App does not give you any rights to music or other works that belong to someone else. Editing, converting or sharing a song or video that belongs to someone else, or publishing the result, may need the rights holder's permission. You must not use the App to get around any copy protection or digital rights management.
Lyrics, whether from LRCLIB, your files or any other source, may be protected by copyright. Lyrics from LRCLIB are shown to you for your personal use only, and we do not check them for accuracy or rights.
8. Your files, backups and data loss
Some features change or remove files on your device when you confirm them, for example editing a song's details or cover, deleting songs, saving over an existing file, replacing an original with a compressed copy, setting a ringtone or restoring a backup over your current data. Make your own backups of anything that matters to you before you use these features. Deleting items, using Delete app data or uninstalling the App deletes the data it held, and a backup whose password is lost cannot be recovered. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for the loss of, or damage to, any file, recording or data.
9. Hearing safety and safe use
Listening at high volume for long periods can permanently damage your hearing. The equalizer, bass boost, preamp, loudness and other effects, and 3D or 8D audio, can make sound louder or change how loud it seems. Start at a low volume, raise it slowly, take breaks and follow your device's volume warnings. Strong settings can also damage speakers or headphones. Healthy-listening features, such as ear breaks and the bedtime wind-down, are reminders only and are not medical advice; the App is not a medical or hearing-protection device.
Pay attention to your surroundings. Do not set up or operate the App in a way that distracts you while driving, cycling or doing anything that needs your full attention, and follow the traffic laws where you are, including when you use Android Auto. You use the App at your own risk.
10. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the App to:
- break any law or regulation, or infringe the rights of others, including copyright, trademark, privacy and publicity rights;
- record people without the consent the law requires, or create or share content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful or intended to deceive or defraud;
- copy, modify, decompile, reverse-engineer, resell or redistribute the App, except where the law or an open-source licence allows it despite this restriction;
- get around purchase checks, paid features or security measures, or use modified, repackaged or cracked versions of the App;
- interfere with the App or the services it relies on, for example through automated or excessive requests to the online lyrics service.
11. Premium subscriptions and payments
- Free and Premium. The App is free to use and shows no ads. Premium is optional and adds extra features, which the App lists before you buy. Premium is sold as an auto-renewing subscription, monthly or yearly. Both plans unlock exactly the same features.
- Price. The price and billing period, and the terms of any free trial or introductory offer, are shown in the App and by the store before you confirm, in your local currency. Taxes are applied by the store where required. We do not process payments.
- Payment. Payment is charged to your Google Play account or your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, or, if you start a free trial, when the trial ends.
- Automatic renewal. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, at the price then in effect, unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Free trials and introductory offers. The stores may offer a free trial or an introductory price to eligible users only, as the store decides. A free trial turns into a paid subscription when it ends, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. An introductory price renews at the regular price after the introductory period. On the App Store, any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
- Manage or cancel. On Android: Google Play app › your profile › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions. On iPhone or iPad: Settings › your name (Apple Account) › Subscriptions. In the App: Settings › Subscription › Manage subscription. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Premium stays on until the end of the period you paid for. Uninstalling the App does not cancel a subscription.
- Changes. Upgrades, downgrades, grace periods, account holds and price changes follow the store's rules, and the store tells you about them in advance where its rules require. You can cancel before a new price applies.
- Refunds. Refunds are handled by Google Play or Apple under their refund policies, for example through your Google Play order history or reportaproblem.apple.com, except where the law requires otherwise. We never see or store your payment details. If something went wrong, please write to us and we will help.
- Checks and offline use. The App confirms your Premium status with the store. A subscription keeps working offline for up to 14 days after the App last confirmed it with the store. Premium may pause until the store confirms it again if the device clock is set back, or on copies of the App that are modified, or run with a debugger or with tools that change apps while they run. The free features keep working. Refunded or revoked purchases end Premium.
- When a subscription ends. Premium features stop working, but nothing you made is deleted: your premium themes, smart playlists, player looks and other settings are kept, the App uses its free defaults meanwhile, and they come back when you subscribe again. Studio jobs you started while subscribed still finish; at your next export, Premium Studio choices such as 8D motions fall back to the free option (the Circle motion, one file at a time).
12. Premium from earlier versions
If you bought Premium as a one-time purchase in version 7.x or earlier, you keep Premium forever, at no extra cost, and never need a subscription for it. It is restored with the same Google Play account, also on a new device (Settings › Subscription › Restore purchases). If Premium was active in version 7.x on your device when you updated, the App keeps it on that device. One-time purchases are not sold any more. Version 8 has no ads, and the features that needed an ad in version 7.x (Space Render export and the counter-clockwise orbit) are free.
13. Third-party services
Some features rely on services run by others: Google Play and the Apple App Store for purchases, Google Firebase for analytics and crash reports, LRCLIB for online lyrics, YouTube for song searches you open, Android Auto, your device's media controls and the apps you share files with. Their own terms apply. We do not control these services and, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, are not responsible for their availability, content, accuracy or practices. LRCLIB in particular is a free community service that may change, limit or stop at any time.
14. Updates and availability
We may update, change, suspend or discontinue the App or any feature at any time, and some updates may be required to keep using it. We do not guarantee that the App will always be available, error-free or secure, that it will play, edit or convert every file, or that it is compatible with every device, operating system, car or accessory.
15. Feedback
If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them freely, without any obligation or payment to you.
16. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end your licence if you breach these Terms. When the licence ends, you must stop using the App. Sections 6 to 10, 13 and 17 to 24 survive termination.
17. Disclaimer of warranties
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE APP AND ALL ITS FEATURES, CONTENT AND OUTPUT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITH ALL FAULTS AND WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY. THIS INCLUDES ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, SATISFACTORY QUALITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, QUIET ENJOYMENT, NON-INFRINGEMENT AND UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION, AND ANY WARRANTY THAT EDITS, CONVERSIONS OR EXPORTS WILL BE LOSSLESS OR THAT LYRICS WILL BE CORRECT. YOU USE THE APP AT YOUR OWN RISK.
18. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, FILES, CONTENT, PROFITS, REVENUE, GOODWILL OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE APP, THIRD-PARTY SERVICES OR THESE TERMS, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE) OR OTHERWISE, EVEN IF WE WERE TOLD OF THE POSSIBILITY.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATED TO THE APP OR THESE TERMS IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR PREMIUM IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM AND (B) USD 10.
19. Your rights as a consumer
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any right or remedy that you have under mandatory law and that cannot be excluded or limited, or any liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence and liability for fraud, and, where they apply, your statutory rights as a consumer in the European Union, the United Kingdom, Australia (including the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law), New Zealand and elsewhere. Where the law allows our liability for breach of such a right to be limited, it is limited, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, to supplying the App again or refunding what you paid. If you live in the EU or the UK, we are also liable as the law requires for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill.
20. Indemnity
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from Your Content, your misuse of the App, or your breach of these Terms, of the law or of anyone else's rights.
21. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Before bringing any claim, please email us so we can try to resolve the issue informally within 30 days.
The courts of Colombo, Sri Lanka, have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute about the App or these Terms. If you are a consumer, however, you may also bring claims in the courts where you live, and you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, disputes are resolved individually and not as part of a class or representative action, and any claim must be brought within one year after it arises.
22. Export and sanctions
You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to comprehensive embargoes and that you are not on any government list of prohibited or restricted parties. You agree to use the App in compliance with all applicable export and sanctions laws.
23. General
- These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any applicable store terms, are the entire agreement between you and us about the App and replace any earlier terms.
- If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, it is limited to the minimum extent necessary, and the rest remains in effect.
- Our not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it.
- You may not transfer these Terms. We may transfer them as part of a sale or transfer of the App.
- We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
- Headings are for convenience only. If these Terms are translated, the English version prevails.
24. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The new version takes effect when it is published on this page with a new effective date. Where the law requires, we will also give you additional notice, and we may ask you to accept the updated Terms in the App. If you keep using the App after the change, you accept the updated Terms. Changes do not affect purchases you made before them, except as the store's rules or the law allow.
